Since launching in 2002, TLC has answered legal questions from over 4,000 transgender people and their families; held over 300 transgender law workshops providing legal information to more than 3,500 community members, attorneys, social service providers, and business owners; published or co-published more than 13 separate publications on transgender legal issues; and, co-organized 3 important state-wide gatherings. Thanks to collaborations with organizations around California, partnerships with progressive foundations, and the support of many people, TLC is making a difference.

This year, TLC will honor 8 people/organizations who are working with us to make change around the state.

As most of you know, one of our founders, Chris Daley, is stepping down as TLC’s Director this year. After doing this work for 6 years (the last 5 of which have been spent building up TLC) he is moving on and passing the reins of the organization to our first Executive Director (an announcement is coming soon). Our event this year will be a great opportunity for all of us to show him how much we appreciate his amazing work and your first opportunity to meet our new Executive Director.
