TLC Founder's Campaign

Transgender Law Center, founded in 2002, is one of less than a handful of independent, staffed transgender civil rights organizations in the country. Our agenda for winning full civil rights for transgender people and our families throughout California is ambitious.

This year, we expect to help almost 1,000 transgender people with their individual legal issues. Another 1,500 – 2,000 people will attend one of our transgender law workshops. And around 6,000 people will use one of our many publications.

In order to meet this demand, while also pushing the envelope on issues ranging from safe bathroom access to the rights of transgender parents to working with government officials and allies to move California forward, we need your support.

Your investment in the Transgender Law Center means that fewer people in our community will have to face the risk of losing their job, their family, their health care, their home, or their identity simply for being themselves.

In anticipation of our 5th anniversary in 2007, we are launching our Founder’s Campaign, a bold initiative to raise $125,000 from individual donors within our first five years. You can join the Campaign by contributing as little as $10/month.

Donation Levels:
Champion Circle $5,000+
Visionary Circle $2,500 - $5,000
Equality Circle $750 - $2,500
Activist Circle $250 - $750
Partner Circle $100 - $250

Founding members will be acknowledged on a virtual “founders’ wall” on our website and in our annual newsletters. Eventually, we plan to install a physical founder’s wall in our offices.
